At Village Family Clinic, we're proud to offer more than just chiropractic adjustments. In this video, Dr. Fedich gives you a quick tour of our office and highlights some of the advanced therapies and technologies we use to help patients feel and function their best.
Hey there! Dr. Fedich here. I want to show you around the office and some of the other technologies and machines we have here. You've probably seen some of these rooms before.
We have non-surgical spinal decompression here. These decompression tables are great if you have a bulging or herniated disc, or as we get older and the vertebrae start getting compressed together. This table is able to gently stretch the spine and open up the space around the nerves. It's a great technology that we have here in the office. Unfortunately, it's not covered by most insurance plans, but we keep the fees very affordable.
Let me show you a couple of other interesting things we have here.
Over there, we have another decompression machine. If we come this way, you'll see our muscle stimulation stations. We have three of these. Muscle stimulation is great for helping loosen tight muscles. If you have muscle spasms, it sends gentle electrical impulses into the muscles to help them relax. It feels like a nice electronic massage.
Unfortunately, many insurance plans don't cover this treatment either. Some do, and some don't, but we'll check your benefits for you. If it isn't covered, it's a very affordable add-on to your treatment plan.
Back here, we have our intersegmental traction tables. If you've been here before, you've probably used one of these. They help stretch and mobilize the spine. There are rollers inside that gently loosen the muscles and spinal joints, and they feel great. We use them before your adjustment to help loosen everything up.
This therapy is also not covered by most insurance plans. However, we don't charge our patients for it. If you happen to see it listed on your Explanation of Benefits (EOB), there's no fee to you. We provide it as a complimentary part of your treatment because we believe it helps our patients.
Over in this area, we have our deep tissue laser. The laser light penetrates deep into the tissue to help reduce pain and swelling while stimulating the body's natural healing process. It's one of the few therapies that can accomplish all three. Traditional ultrasound typically penetrates about one centimeter, while this laser reaches much deeper into the tissue.
It's especially helpful for arthritic knees, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and similar conditions. Like many of our advanced therapies, deep tissue laser isn't usually covered by insurance, but it's a very affordable add-on for treating elbow pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. It's a great machine.
And of course, we have our chiropractic adjustment tables. We also offer instrument-assisted, non-hands-on chiropractic adjustments when they're appropriate for the patient.
That's about everything in the office!
We're also certified to perform DOT physicals. So, if you or someone you know drives a truck or commercial vehicle and needs a CDL medical card, I've been certified to perform DOT physicals for over 15 years. We complete the required paperwork, submit it to the DMV when needed, and help make sure you're able to stay on the road.
